Iran’s Ex-president who said ” Israel must be wiped off the map” killed in Isaeli airstrikes!

Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was reportedly killed in Israeli airstrikes at the outset of a military operation inside Iran on March 1, 2026.

Israeli outlet Ma’ariv reported he was under house arrest and died in a targeted strike on his residence.

There was no immediate confirmation from Iranian authorities.

Ahmadinejad served as Iran’s president from 2005 to 2013 and became known for nuclear defiance and anti Israel rhetoric.

His disputed 2009 reelection sparked the Green Movement protests, which security forces suppressed.

He once said Israel must be wiped off the map, a remark that drew global condemnation.

His reported death marks a significant escalation in the widening conflict between Israel and Iran.

The strikes come amid broader US Israeli military operations targeting Iranian leadership and infrastructure.
